SIRIH LEAVES TO TREAT AILMENT

This evening one of our students came and asked if we have sirih leaves planted in the Herb Garden.  I said Yes.  She requested for some as one of her cousins is suffering from an ailment and the leaves are used as a traditional treatment.
As it was already 5.30 p.m., I went and cut the leaves for her instead of getting her to do so on her own.  The Chinese have a belief that it is unwise to cut or pluck leaves after the sun has set.  I think the Malays also have such a superstition.
