Encik Syukri is holding up the new signage with the latest motto of the Perak Education Department which is "Perak sentiasa di puncak Kemerlangan". The English translation is Perak is always at the peak of excellence.

Gone is the old signage with the old motto, "Komuniti Berilmu, Perak Terbilang".
