LAUNCH OF NILAM PROGRAMME 2011 FOR SMVSM

This morning saw the official launch of the NILAM Programme for our school.  The mistress of ceremony was Cik Mislinda who wowed everyone with the melodious voice.  Cik Mislinda read out the objectives of the programme and also other important details pertaining to NILAM.  Next she introduced everyone to the NILAM plant or (Patchouli plant) which has the same name with the programme. 
Ater that, the NILAM plant was wheeled out by one of the librarians.  Cik Mislinda pointed out that the particular plant though living was not too healthy.  It was hoped that by watering and nurturing our NILAM plant, it will grow to be healthy again. When officiating the launch, Puan Hajah Intan watered the plant after she made the official declaration. This would symbolically represent that with effort and enough guidance the NILAM programme will become healthy and thriving..
