KAFFIR LIMES

The Kaffir Limes shown above were plucked from our Herb Garden.  In Malaysia, the kaffir lime or limau purut is used for cleansing rituals.  It is believed that by taking a bath infused with the fruit and leaves of the kaffir lime plant, one can get rid of bad omens.  Some traditional practioners use the kaffir limes to ward off evil spirits.  The leaves of the kaffir lime are used in cooking many Malaysian dishes.  By adding the leaves, the taste of the food becomes better.
