LAUNCH OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE WEEK 2010

With a sigh of relief, I am happy to report that the official launching ceremony for English Language Week 2010 was successfully carried during assembly this morning.

Before the start of the ceremony, we had our bimonthly Public Speaking in English by a representative of 5VE6.  Later the teacher in charge of the assembly, Encik Haris Nordin called upon Tuan Haji Ahmad Hasnin bin Abdul Samad, the head of the English Language Department, to take charge of the launching ceremony. 

Tuan Haji Ahmad Hasnin spoke to the teachers and students about the objectives for holding the English Language Week and read out the activities planned.  Then he invited Puan Siti Arfah bt Ibrahim, the Super Principal of Sekolah Menengah Teknik Seri Manjung, to give a speech and then officially declare the English Language Week open.

The highlight of the ceremony was when a special envoy of the English Language Department, our little fairy princess Lina went out to present the first issue of the Le Quark de Veronx to Puan Siti Arfah to mark the relaunching of the English Language newsletter.

With the launch successfully completed and the streamer for the English Language Week put in a strategic position, it is hoped that those in Vokasma will give their support and cooperation by taking part in the activities planned.
