WISHES OF GOOD HEALTH, WEALTH AND HAPPINESS

As the Chinese Lunar New Year will start on the 14th of February, Miss Ng See Yee and I decided to give some mandarins and peanuts to our colleagues in Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Seri Manjung.  Though our gift is small but the wishes accompanying them is big.  To the Chinese giving someone peanuts or groundnuts is like wishing them good health and long life.  The gift of mandarins is symbolic of wishing that our friends would have good fortune luck for the year ahead.
I got Hadi and Hafizrahman to help me to distribute some mandarins and peanuts to the teachers and staff of our school this morning. The boys managed to deliver the small red bags to 102 teachers and staff.  According to them, there was another 21 people that they were not able to locate.  We will try to give it to them tomorrow.
