What does Miss Cheah do after school every day? I am sure many would be thinking that she would be in front of the computer to surf the Internet and also to update the school blogs. Well, that is true. However, sometimes I go to the Rumah Wawasan to visit the children there.
Some of these children have no fathers or mothers while some are abandoned by their parents and their families. I brought the kacang putih that I had bought from Ipoh for the children and some colour pencils that one of my friends wanted to give to them.
Though I had a long day and am tired but somehow when I hear the children happily saying, "Auntie Li Na is here. Auntie Li Na is here" and then to have all the children running out to greet me really makes it worth my while to go there.
Ustaz Syed has asked me to give some of my time to tutor the children in the welfare home in Lekir and I am trying to see if I can find some time to help him out as well. Unfortunately, I have to agree with Tuan Haji Hasnin about the fact that I am getting old and cannot overdo things lest I ruin my health. Hmm ... there are so many things I want to do but then I don't have so much free time and energy to carry them out.
