WORKING DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Though it is the school holidays, Cikgu Nodiana, Cikgu Norma, Cikgu Azalilah and I still have work to do. This morning the four of us were at the Teacher Activity Centre in Pantai Remis for a meeting. It was the third day of meeting for the three Bahasa Melayu teachers. Their meeting ended today. As for me, the three day meeting began today and will end on Wednesday. Next year, when our school turns into a college we will not be having holidays like the schools. We will have to go back to college to work in November and December as well.

MEETING UP WITH CIKGU AZALILAH

When I went for a meeting at PKG Pantai Remis this morning, I met up with Cikgu Azalilah who was attending a meeting there with Cikgu Nodiana and Cikgu Norma. It has been a few months that we have not seen Cikgu Azalilah who was transferred to Kucing. Her school SM Vokasional Kucing is also one of the 15 pioneer vocational colleges in Malaysia.

THE LAST BATCH OF STUDENTS FOR VOKASMA

Our Form 5 students this year will be the last batch of students for Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Seri Manjung.  The Form 4 students this year will become students of Kolej Vokasional Seri Manjung eventhough they are sitting for the SPM examination next year.

LAST TEACHER'S MEETING FOR 2011

Last Friday marked the last time that the teachers of Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Seri Manjung were attending a teacher's meeting chaired by the principal.  During the next meeting which will be held on 27 December 2011, we will be attending the meeting chaired by the director as lecturers of Kolej Vokasional Seri Manjung.
During this last meeting, we bade farewell three of our teachers who had gotten transfers to other schools to be with their husbands.  Leaving us will be Puan Siti Kamariah, Puan Asiah Ahmat and Puan Baniazura.  Two of our attachment teachers, Cikgu Hanafiah and Cikgu Nurul Marliana will also be leaving us as their contract has ended.

REVISION CLASS FOR SPM AGAMA ISLAM PAPER

The SPM Agama Islam papers are on Monday.  To help her students revise for the paper, Ustazah Roslina has been having extra classes for the past week.  The pictures above were taken at around 5.00 p.m. on Friday when she gave an extra class to the students of 5VE3 who had asked for the class.

KVSM DOT COM BLOG

A new blog for Kolej Vokasional Seri Manjung was launched on 18 November 2011.  This blog will take over from Vokasma Today to give information about the Seri Manjung Vocational College which will come into being on 1 January 2011.

Yesterday morning Puan Intan Suhana bt Kamarudin the principal of Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Seri Manjung officially launched the blog for Kolej Vokasional Seri Manjung.

ATTENTION

Note that the Vokasma Today blog will still be active until 31 December 2011.  However most of the news will be posted in the KVSM Dot Com Blog beginning 18 November 2011.

FAREWELL LUNCH FOR CIKGU HANAFIAH

Today Puan Kamariah and I were busy holding farewell ceremonies for our colleagues who will no longer be with us next year when the school is transformed into a college.  The second farewell that we had for today was for Cikgu Hanafiah and Puan Nurul Marliana at Shabu Shabu Restaurant.  Unfortunately, Puan Nurul could not be with us as her son was ill.
The contracts of both Cikgu Hanafiah and Cikgu Nurul expire at the end of the year and will not be renewed as we already have an excess of teachers for 2011.  We are all hoping and praying that both of them will be selected to undergo training to become full-fledged teachers.
On behalf of the teachers, staff and students of Vokasma, I would like to thank both teachers for the good job they have done during their two years at Vokasma.  May they be absorbed into teacher training programmes and come back to lecture at Kolej Vokasional Seri Manjung in future.  We really need dedicated and hardworking lecturers like them.
