UPIN AND IPIN

 In this picture I am with a pair of twin boys who specially dressed and shaved their heads to look the animation characters Upin and Ipin.  The boys were taking part in the Animation Parade for the Upin and Ipin Carnival at Stadium Indera Mulia in Ipoh today. 

 Aren't the two boys adorable?  I forgot to ask them if they were fans of the cartoon characters but then I guess they most probably would be.

The young lady flanked by Upin and Ipin above is Asyiela Putri bt Azahar.  Asyiela is the voice actress or dubber for the characters of Upin and Ipin in the animated series.  She is actually the second voice actress.  The original dubber was Nur Fathiah Diaz who opted out as she wanted to concentrate on her studies.

Upin & Ipin is a Malaysian television series of animated shorts produced by Les' Copaque Production, which features the life and adventures of the eponymous twin brothers in a fictional Malaysian kampung. Originally a side project for the blockbuster animated filmGeng: The Adventure Begins, Upin & Ipin was introduced on TV9 in 13 September 2007 as a six-episode Ramadan/Eid special, to instil significance of the Islamic holy month amongst children. To date, the series has reached its fourth season, including another Ramadanspecial season in 1 September 2008 network on TV9, MNC International Malaysia and Disney Channel Malaysia and season three onwards, the year-long, more general themed Upin & Ipin and Friends, the series' international debut via the Disney Channel Asia, but telling the lives of Upin and Ipin with their friends on the normal days.
