The Launch of the national level National Language Month (Perlancaran Bulan Bahasa Kebangsaan) for 2010 was held at Stadium Indera Mulia in Ipoh on 5th October, 2010. Puan Kamariah Sulaiman and Miss Cheah represented the school for the launch.

The Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Education, YAB Tan Sri Dato Seri Diraja Haji Muhyiddin bin Hj. Mohd. Yassin was the special guest at the national level launching ceremony.

Tan Sri Muhyidin Yassin sadi the value of a country's language was closely related to the economic progress of a nation. Therefore, a country's economic growth will also make its language grow.

One of the award recipients, Professor Dr. Ding Choo Ming of UKM was presented with a special montly award to recognise intelletuals who have contributed to the growth of the Malay language in Malaysia.
Among his contributions was the setting up of a portal. http://www.malaycivilisationcom/, the first ever Malay studies database.

Professor Emeritus Dato' Dr. Asmah bt Hj Omar receiving the National Language Intellectual Award (Anugerah Tokoh Ilmuwan Bahasa Kebangsaan 2010) from the deputy prime minister.
Dr Asmah has been one of the pillars behind the development of the language and has produced an encyclopedia, working papers, books and articles in the national language.
