Puan Kamariah and I are short of time to train our English language debaters for the KAT this weekend. Initially we were informed that there would be no English language debate for the KAT this year but last Wednesday we were informed that the debate would be on after all and were told to come up with the name of four debaters to represent our school by Thursday so that Cikgu Zulkilfi could send the list when he went for the meeting at Lebuh Catur.
To be honest we only managed to select 6 debaters on Friday and today we started to brief them on the rules of parliamentary debate. Later the boys and girls looked for points for their motion, "Students should wear uniform". We have another three days to train before they have to meet their opponents on Friday. That is why we need to let them practise debating in the morning and afternoon so that they will be prepared.
